Swine Flu (H1N1) symptoms | precautions for prevention

Swine Flu (H1N1) symptoms:

  1. Fever
  2. Headache
  3. Runny or stuffy nose, difficulty in breathing
  4. Blood stained sputum
  5. Sore throat
  6. Cough
  7. Diarrhea and vomiting

High Risk Group: 

Children with other illnesses, pregnant women, persons aged 65 or over, patients with lung disease, heart disease, liver disease, blood disorders, diabetes, cancer patients, HIV/AIDS patients etc

 

Precautions for prevention:

 

DOs:

  1. Avoid crowded places
  2. Frequently wash your hands with soap and water
  3. Stay at least one arm’s length from others
  4. Drink plenty of water
  5. If you have symptoms, please consult a doctor immediately

DON’Ts:

  1. Excessive physical exercise
  2. Unnecessary testing
  3. Touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
  4. Hugging, kissing or shaking hands
  5. Taking medicines without consulting a doctor
  6. Touching surfaces usually used by public (doorknobs, water taps, etc)
